Therearefourrolesinthesociety of New World: Warrior, Healer, Hunter, and Gatherer. Up until a Villager's 13th birthday, they train to become one of these four roles, until finally when they turn this age they are finally given their role and assigned a partner for life. If a villager is assigned to be a Warrior, then their partner will be a Healer, as vis versa, and if assigned as a Hunter, then the partner will be a Gatherer, as again vis versa.
Mermaids are slightly different as they are smaller in number and are more or less a bit more safe as they live under the water. They still have partners but it goes either they are a Warrior/Hunter or a Healer/Gatherer.
Warriors are the protectors of the Village from the Shadow. They typically are housed on the edges of the Village in case of emergency if Shadow get too close to the Village. They assigned certain days and areas to patrol with their partner to kill any straying Shadow that may pose threats in the areas.
Warriors must constantly continue their training through out life as to stay strong and fit for their duty.
Healers are the Village doctors. They are often taken with their Warrior partner on patrols in case a Shadow is found and the Warrior needs healing.
As healers don't always have things to do they are also known as the helpers because they go around and help elderly Villagers do chores or help the Gatherers with miscellaneous tasks.
They also go out to find herbs and other small things for medicine and such.
Hunters are out the most hunting whatever they can while at the same time helping the animal population stay vibrant and lush as so that they never run out of meat.
When a Hunter is not sent out to hunt they are usually told to help their Gatherer partner with chores or to sell their findings and products at the Market.
They are also known to go off and look for naturally grown food for their partners.
Gatherers get out the least, sometimes basically never. Being too busy with raising animals for dairy and wool or growing crops they just don't have the time or need. The finding of outside food is for their partners, the Hunters.
They are also the ones who run the Market. Certain Gatherers have a certain day that they go and sell things with their partners.

When accepted you will be told who your partner is or will be told when one is available and be told what days you are to do certain duties and which days you have off.
We also ask that you keep the roles fairly even and not continue to pick the same role as then no one would have a partner and other jobs would be low.
